They contain higher manganese and nitrogen, providing moderate corrosion resistance and higher yield strength. Less resistant to corrosion compared to 300 series, they are susceptible to pitting in chloride environments. These pipes are commonly used in decorative applications, food and beverage industry, automotive exhaust systems, and structural applications where high corrosion resistance is not critical. Their formability and weldability make them suitable for various manufacturing processes.
