321 stainless steel wire is an austenitic chromium-nickel steel alloyed with titanium, known for its excellent resistance to intergranular corrosion and stability in high-temperature environments. The titanium addition minimizes chromium carbide formation, enhancing its high-temperature strength. 321 wire is ideal for applications with temperatures up to 900°C, especially where strength and stability are required during welding or in fluctuating temperatures. It's commonly used in aerospace for engine and exhaust systems, in the chemical industry for equipment exposed to corrosive substances, and in thermal oxidizers. Its resistance to temperature-induced corrosion makes it suitable for various industrial applications, including springs and threaded fasteners.
